Could You Possibly Be Worshipping The Wrong God? |
|
This tract addresses the reader as one who professes belief in God, but not the “true and living God” of The Bible. This tract also has the reader as a third-party to a conversation between a Christian and a follower of another unspecified religious system. The reader will naturally identify himself with the non-Christian, and as he does so he is asked to honestly consider the possibility that he is worshipping the wrong God. Though the question may initially strike him as preposterous, if not insulting, he is challenged to realize that the possibility does truly exist. He is then presented with the fact that he needs to honestly consider the possibility because of what the God of The Bible declares. In view of what Romans 1:18 says, if the God of The Bible is the “true and living God,” then God’s wrath is against him and he faces very serious consequences. Sheer common sense, therefore, demands that he honestly consider the possibility that he is wrong. And on the basis of this, the appeal is made to him to do so. |
